Bankruptcy

It is one of the hardest decisions to come to, but when life gives you no place to run, bankruptcy may be the only option. I handle bankruptcies on a routine basis. If you are thinking about bankruptcy, I would encourage you to come in for a consultation.

For some basic information about bankruptcy, I recommend that you read the information sheet prepared by the US Trustee's Office. If you have additional questions regarding bankruptcy, contact us to schedule a consultation so we can discuss your particular situation and how the rules effect you.

One of the main difficulties in completing a bankruptcy is the collection of information. Please review my Bankruptcy Checklist to get an idea of the type of information that will be needed.

Bankruptcy filings for Wayne County and surrounding counties are filed in Indianapolis, but the creditor's meeting (the only formal proceeding in most bankruptcies) is held in the City Building in Richmond, Indiana.
